New Years Eve (part 3)

Savannah's mum went to stop him from talking, he put his hand up and said, "no I think its time we accepted the truth Martha". He explained that Savannah's brother Sebastian was an adventurous kid and was always out in the woods.  One night he didn't come back and they went looking for him.  When they found him he was pretty beat up and had cuts all over him.  They got him home and put him to bed.  He slept for nearly 20 hours and in the middle of the next night he woke up screaming, his parents came into his room to find him in the corner of his room.  He was covered in fur and was starting to grow fangs!!!

At this point I was scared out of my mind, but kept listening to the strange tale.  When Sebastian had finished "changing" they could tell straight away he was a werewolf.  He jumped up and smashed through the window into the night.  Sebastian came back the next day and explained he had been playing in the woods and this huge animal came out of nowhere, he had no chance and was bitten.  Apparently there has been talk about the woods holding weird, strange creatures for centuries but no one believed them until now!

I really took notice when they said he had been bitten and immediately looked at Thorn who appeared to have a big bite mark on his arm!!!!

Suddenly I put two and two together and we realised Sebastian was the wolf we had seen on Halloween night.

Savannah had been in the woods for days trying to find Sebastian before he bit someone, they knew he was getting restless and was afraid he would try and change someone else.  Well it looks like he has!!!!!

New Years Eve Final Part (2)

So Thorn had run behind the bush and we could hear screaming coming from that area.  When we finally got there Aunt Maud was going mental, Thorn was laying on the ground with Savannah kneeling over him.  I was so happy to see she was ok I didn't think what was happening to poor Thorn.  He was cut on his arm quite bad and something had bitten him too.  It was like something out of a horror film.

Savannah was crying and saying it was all her fault and things would never be the same again!  Aunt Maud was trying to stem the blood coming from Thorns cut, she was shouting at Savannah.

"Why are you yelling at her?", I asked my Aunt.  "Savannah I think you have some explaining to so, don't you", replied Aunt Maud looking angrily at Savannah.  Savannah was shaking her head and crying.

"Ok, ok everyone calm down," said Gran.  Savannah immediately calmed down (god my nan is good).  Just as Savannah was about to explain herself her family turned up.  They had heard all the screaming and had come looking.

"Hold it right there", said Savannah's dad.  "You don't say a word Savannah, this is private family business and we will take care of it".  Aunt Maud walked straight up to Savannah's dad and said, "Hey don't you dare try and cover this one up, I saw exactly what happened and Savannah told me the rest.  I think you have some explaining to do"

Savannah's dad sighed and started to explain their strange family story................

New Years Eve Final Part (Split into 3 parts)

Part 1......Right so much has happened in the last couple of hours I will need to try and keep it as short as possible to fit it all on this page!!!!  Well what can I say, we found Savannah but, we also found something else too.
I told you we were headed into the woods to search one last time tonight for Savannah?  Because there was more of us we split up like before.  I went with Gran and Roman and Pywacket, Aunt Maud went with Thorn.  Unfortunately it was Aunt Maud and Thorn who came across Savannah first!

Apparently they were quite a way into the woods, well away from the clearing and they could hear someone talking quietly behind some bushes.  Before Aunt Maud could stop him Thorn ran round the bush to see who it was.  I think it safe to say he wishes he hadnt gone now.

We could hear screaming, we went running towards the sound.  Pywacket was squarking at me and flapping his wings.  (looking back he was warning me, but I didnt realise at the time)

New Years Eve Part 3

OK, its dark now and freezing cold.  We are all really worried about Savannah, not a good start to the new year if she isn't found by the morning!  We have swapped areas now. Me, Gran, Aunt Maud, Thorn and Roman are going to check the woods again, and Savannah's family are looking further afield.

When we were looking around the village I saw some of Savannah's family (they didn't see me) I overheard one of them say, "At this rate Savannah will end up just like her brother".  What does that mean for gods sake????????  I also overheard Savannah's dad say, there were more footprints in the woods and he shouldn't be that hard to find??  God that family have some weird secrets going on.  Like an episode of Eastenders that lot!

So we are back at the caravan at the moment having our dinner then we go back into the woods for a final look around tonight.  I have to admit I did expect to find Savannah before dark, and now I am really scared for her.  What if something really bad has happened to her and we never find her!!!!!!

Wish us luck.

New Years Eve Part 2

So an update from this morning...........  Still cant find Savannah and Pywacket is acting really strange, at least he hasn't done a disappearing act I suppose.

We have all split up to look for her.  Me, Thorn and Roman are searching the village, her family insisted on searching the woods and Aunt Maud and Gran are at home trying to find a searching spell of some kind!!!!  Or course Savannah's family don't know that part.

Gran keeps saying something bad is coming which is scaring me I can tell you!  Sometimes in times of trouble she can sense things and unfortunately this is one of those times.  I hope we find her today, I hate to think of Savannah all alone on New Years Eve.

New Years Eve (and all is not well)

As usual its all happening here in Hazy Meadows.  Remember I said Savannah had gone missing?  Well we are all still looking for her, her family are also with us searching the area but, they are acting even more strange than usual if you ask me.  They keep getting into a huddle and whispering to each other.  There is defo more going on here than they have told us.

I think most of her family have been out looking all night as they look terrible.  Cant imagine what they are going through at the moment, it must be a nightmare to lose not only one of your kids but two!

Anyway just wanted to tell everyone we still haven't found her and will keep you posted throughout the day as to what happens here.  Hope everyone out there is having a good New Years Eve so far. xxxxxxxxxx

Thursday

Crisis!

OK, So Savannah has gone missing.  Apparently she left really early this morning before her family got up.  What with her brother Sebastian going missing as well this is not good for her family.

I haven't seen her since Christmas either so I feel really bad and wonder if I could have done anything.  Savannah is very secretive though so I really don't think she would have confided in me anyway.

She has packed a bag and has her sleeping bag according to her mum.  Her mum also said she has been taking food from the kitchen and going off somewhere with it too!  God knows what she is doing.   Roman and Thorn are out now looking for her.  If they don't find anything I am meeting them later on to search the woods again, don't want to be too late though as the woods are not that inviting at the moment and really don't want to be out there after dark.  I do hope Savannah isn't in the woods or if she is I hope she has found her brother and they are together.

On an even more depressing note I am stuck inside the caravan, I am on tidy up duty (as Aunt Maud calls it).  I cant believe how much stuff we have in here, does Aunt Maud never throw anything away!

I will keep you all informed about the Savannah situation as and when I get it myself.  Please be ok Savannah xxxx

Saturday

Christmas Day

Hello followers,

Just thought I would drop by and let you all know what I got for christmas.  We have had a great time, Gran took pity on us being in the caravan in this weather and we had christmas dinner at her nice warm house.  We are staying over here until the day after Boxing Day so I better make the most of the heat lol.

Anyway, I got some great presents this year.  Aunt Maud gave me a scrap book of my parents, its a lovely little book with photos and letters they sent to each other.  When I get more time I will sit down properly and have a good look through it.  She also gave me a T.V. for my room which is a plus as her little black and white portable one is useless (sorry Aunt Maud but it is), but I love my nice new telly its great.

Gran gave me my very own book of shadows and gave me a handful of beginner spells for me to decide which ones to try and add to the book in the future.

Roman gave me a handmade wooden pendant necklace.  Its got a symbol on the front but I don't know what it means yet!

Thorn being Thorn gave me a clothes voucher its a good one though, its not for the normal high street chain shops, its for a little clothes shop down a side street that sells really cool different clothes.

Finally Savannah gave me a book of Poems she had written herself.  They are beautiful and will come in handy when Pywacket does his disappearing act, Savannah told me Pywacket is fascinated with her poems and singing.  So I plan to say them out loud if and when he wanders off again!

Hope you all got what you wished for and are having a great Christmas so far. X

Tuesday

Something Wicked This Way Comes (and not its not a witch!)

Haven't posted for a while, been kind of busy to be honest.  I lost Pywacket a few nights ago, unfortunately he didn't come back for 3 nights.  Finally got him back about an hour ago!  When he got back he seemed really edgy (well for an owl anyway).  He isn't himself that's for sure, he is nervous and jumpy.  Something or someone has scared him and I want to know who/what it was.

The woods have taken on that eerie look again, even with the snow making it look lovely there is still an undercurrent of evil running through it.  Its as if there is something in the woods watching silently.  Even gran and Aunt Maud have noticed it and told me and my friends to steer well clear for the moment.  Problem with that is you tell me to not do something and it makes me want to do it even more. LOL.

On a plus note, Savannah has been hanging around with us alot more the last week.  She said she cant bear it at home at the moment and wants to be out of the house as much as possible on the lead up to Christmas.  Apparently her brother has done a runner (you know the one that had a wild animal accident).  Her family are really worried about him.  Its got to be about 0 degrees outside during the day alone so god knows what the temperature is like at night.  Lets hope he isn't sleeping rough and has found shelter somewhere warm.

Finally decided on Aunt Maud's present, someone suggested a nice colourful scarf and I found one in the local market yesterday.  I think she will love it.  Thank you to the person who suggested it.

Its funny how the Christmas holidays make you think of people who are no longer here.  I started to look at my mum and dad's old photo albums again this week.  Some of them are very grainy and hard to see much but others are clear as a bell.  One picture in particular caught my eye, its a picture of my parents looking really happy at what looks like a local carnaval.  I am in a pushchair holding a red balloon.  What caught my eye was the man in the background of the photo.  He appears to be frowning at my parents and really didn't look very friendly.  When I asked Aunt Maud about it she tried to change the subject, so I went to Gran with the picture.  Gran took one look at the photo and gave out a little cry and dropped it like it was on fire or something, she was as pale as a sheet too.  I was so worried I told her to sit down.  She didn't seem to remember I was there and kept saying to herself, "I thought this was dead and buried"!  She suddenly snapped out of it and gave me a hug.  Like Aunt Maud she changed the subject and I didn't like to say anything after the reaction she had to the photo.

Oh well yet another mystery from my families past to solve.

Friday

Nothing to report

Not much to report tonight really, still trying to get everything ready for Christmas.  I haven't seen Savannah since Sunday, I think she is avoiding me after our little conversation!  Don't know what she is so worried about, I don't tell peoples secrets.

Haven't got all my Christmas presents yet either, I don't know what to get Aunt Maud, if anyone has any ideas please do let me know!  I have got Grans present but, I am not going to say on here what I got in case she reads this.  God knows what I have got from Roman and Thorn, the mind boggles.  Thats if they have bothered to get me anything at all.

The caravan looks really christmassy now and everyone is getting in the Christmas spirit in Hazy Meadows too.  God this blog is boring isn't it?  I am gonna sign off now before I lose followers.

Sunday

Headlines

God its all happening here in Hazy Meadows this week.  Quite a few sightings in the woods again and even an attack on a local!  Its been all over the local papers too.

Its got me on edge too as Pywacket has been doing his disappearing act again and I am getting worried something terrible will happen to him if he isn't careful.  Thank god he does come back each night, but he leaves the caravan just after 6pm and doesn't usually return til after midnight, its also not good when its freezing cold still and I have to keep the window open a bit for him to come in.

People have been saying the weird footprints are back in the woods again.  Anyway, me Roman and Thorn decided to go investigate again (no we haven't learnt our lesson!).  I suggested we knock for Savannah as we haven't seen her for ages.

We turned up at her house and as usual the curtains were closed, once again I could have sworn I saw someone in the bedroom window.  So without Savannah we headed off to the woods just the 3 of us.

When we got to the woods the atmosphere was really weird, I felt there was defo something in the woods that day, you could feel something in the air.  We decided to split up as we felt we could cover more ground if we each went in a different direction.  I headed east and soon found the clearing, I could hear crying coming from a nearby tree and decided to check it out.

I found Savannah propped up behind a large tree, head in her hands crying her heart out.  I slowly bent down and sat beside her until she stopped crying.   When she looked up at me I could tell she had been crying for a long time, her eyes were red.

Eventually she started to talk to me, "I have had a huge row with my family," she sighed.  "I ran out of the house while they are still all in there arguing".  "I am just really tired of all the secrets and lies," she said.  I felt I should ask her what secrets she was talking about but something stopped me.  Savannah seemed to sense this, "I am not allowed to talk about our family issues", she said while rolling her eyes.  Just then the boys came into the clearing, "please don't say anything to them", Savannah whispered to me.

The boys seemed too embarrassed to ask Savannah what the matter was and started to try and make her laugh.  Luckily this worked and we all left the woods smiling for once.

Wednesday

A day out with Thorn and Roman

Today Roman came and knocked for me.  He said the school he goes to had a inset day and was closed for the day.  I had to plead with Aunt Maud to let me off lessons, not an easy mission as she is a hard task master!

Eventually Aunt Maud gave in (I think she got bored listening to me go on and on and on).  "What are we going to do today then"?, I asked Roman.  "Well I thought we could hang about in the park, maybe go for a walk in the woods", he replied.  I was just about to tell him his little outing wasn't really appealing to me, when suddenly Thorn appeared.  I didn't bother to ask if his school also had an inset day as its quite obvious to most people that Thorn doesn't particularly like school and barely goes!

Thorn had overheard Roman's exciting plans for us and he didn't seem that thrilled either!  "Its way too cold to hang around outside", Thorn said to us.  "Why don't we go to the shopping mall instead"?, "Its warm in there at least".  I said it was a good idea as I still had presents to get for people for xmas.

So it was settled, we were going to the mall for the day.  I have been saving my pocket money for ages so had plenty of money with me.

On the way we knocked for Savannah, I know she goes to the same school as Roman so thought she might like to come with us.  We rang the bell and waited, and waited.  I could hear something or someone inside but nobody came to the door.  We stood away from the door and looked up at the huge front windows.  The curtains were drawn, which I thought was a bit weird during the day.  And I could have sworn I saw a curtain in an upstairs window move!  We took the hint and left but I couldn't resist one last look over my shoulder, as I looked I am sure I saw Savannah looking out of the window sadly at us.

Nothing else really happened after that, I spent lots of money but managed to get everything I wanted.  At one point Thorn hid in a corridor because he thought he saw one of his teachers!!

Only problem now is where to hide all the lovely presents I have bought.

Sunday

More Magic

Went round Gran's again last night for dinner, this time Gran invited Aunt Maud too.  I think Gran has decided to include Aunt Maud and is starting to treat her like family.  Gran has been snowed in most of the week so we huddled round her Book of Shadows to see if there was a spell to get rid of the ice now sitting outside her house.

After about 10 minutes of us looking at various spells we came across a spell called, The Big Thaw.  Gran suddenly started laughing and said, "I remember this spell from when I was a child, we had the most terrible winter and my mum made a spell to thaw the snow and ice".  According to the book we all have to imagine a massive ball of fire in our minds while holding our arms out with our palms facing down to the snow.  Gran also got her trusted maple wand out.  This is her favourite wand and it has magical symbols carved in the handle.  It also has a crystal on the end.  One day I want a wand just like it, but Gran and Aunt Maud say I am too young and need lots of practice before they let me loose with a wand!

We got our coats on and went outside to see if we could get the spell to work for us.  There wasn't a lot of snow left but some ice was still hanging around Gran's step and it would be dangerous if you forgot it was there.  We all stood around the step with our palms facing the ice.  While we were imagining the fire ball we also had to imagine we were really warm.  I could actually feel myself getting warmer from my toes right up to my head!  Gran had her wand pointed at the step and was muttering something under her breath.  I know from past spells that we all have to say incantations for them to be successful so I asked her to tell us what she was saying.  This is what Gran told us to say.  "Snow and ice be gone tonight, be gone, be gone make haste, take flight".  Thou must disperse before the dawn.  Be gone this step and from this lawn."

I looked at Gran's wand and a great blue light was shining within the crystal.  It was really pretty.  As we looked at the step we could see the snow and ice was already beginning to melt.  Another successful spell I thought.

Wednesday

Let it snow

So how are you lot enjoying the snow then?  Personally I cant get enough of the stuff, love it, love it, love it.  And because all the schools are shut due to the snow it has meant I have spent a bit more time with Savannah and more importantly been into her huge house again.

One thing I have defo noticed when walking around her house is that there are no pictures of her brother anywhere.  I mean ok maybe he is now hideously disfigured but that doesn't mean he cant be in any family photos surely!  That's just plain mean.  I did try and get Savannah talking about her twin brother and yes she did talk about him a little bit but you could tell all the time she was nervous, sort of like she was worried she would say too much.

She told me her and Sebastian or Seb as she calls him were very close as young kids but after the accident he became distant and pushes everyone close to him away.  I could tell she was really upset about that.  Of course I have no idea what that would feel like being an only child and all.

Roman came round to see Savannah with me recently, he said he thought the house was very unhappy!  (Weirdo).

On a more happier note we have put our xmas tree up today, we are even using the real xmas tree that us outside our caravan.  Its huge and will take loads of decorations.  We decided on a nice black fake one for inside the caravan, its very stylish
