Maud Brown met my mum in the local primary school playground. My mum was being hassled by some stupid older girls. It was all because she was different, she looked different and acted different too. Maud saw my mum sitting on the grass crying after one of the girls called her a freak! Maud walked over to her and said it was ok to be different and she shouldn't be afraid to be herself. She still says it, only its to me now. "Prudence just be yourself, if people don't like it they are not your true friends", she always says.
Anyway I am getting off track, From that day in the playground they were inseparable, sharing everything they had, right down to the business they ran when they left school at 16.
Maud is the strongest person I know, other than me of course! And I am lucky to have her as my guardian.
Love you Aunt Maud!
Bright Blessings
